Harlequins flex their rugby muscle at home in Milwaukee against visitors from Chicago Print E-mail

This week we faced the Chicago Griffins in our first match at home and the first since Phillippes passing on Wednesday. The team showed true control and spirit  by taking the field and controlling their emotions. They played rugby for themselves and Phillippe, as each of them will most likely do for the rest of their careers.

The Griffins, weakened by  a number of their players being called up to play in the Super League, were dominated across the board. Our forward pack again began to demonstrate some of the style and strength we relied on in the Fall season. The new lock pairing of Ben Bastion with Sean Bouche, though ably described as a wiry pair, provided power in the set pieces. The back line showed an intelligence in how they dealt with the visitors defense and the Harlequins prevailed 45-12.
