Although the "motley" team struggled against their more experienced opponents, Jeff Noe, Dom Singleton, Ben Smith, and Jeff Hoffman of the Milwaukee Harlequins RFC played very well in their appearances for the team. Gary Lobaugh, coach of the President's XV wrote: Due to their outstanding play, team captain Ben Smith and long-time veteran Jeff Hoffman were invited to Midwest Thunderbird tryouts beginning August 19th for a chance to compete against the visiting Ontario Blues on August 22nd. The Blues squad includes 9 capped internationals on their roster and they will be a formidable opponent to the Midwest side.

... Hmm, The Ontario Blues. The have a decent back line, there forwards are tough. The only weakness I can see is that they are Canadian. |

... Agreed. They might send peace keepers to the match or some other BS diplomacy. That's assuming they are not too busy preparing for RWC2011. US players don't have that problem as yet  |
