We are pleased to announce that stalwart second rower Rob Jacobs has been admitted to New York Medical College (Valhalla, NY). Congratulations!

Despite fierce competition this season, Rob held his starting position for not less than 15 matches in 2008 and scored 20 points from four tries. As you can see in the picture below, he has to use a strap-on cap to contain that melon !

Rob is still waiting to hear from the admissions committees at UW and MCW, so we may still have a chance to keep him on the squad for 2009.

Good on ya mate, and best of luck with your studies. Don’t forget, soon-to-be doctors buy the beer at all team meetings (hint hint) :)

It goes to show you what positions call for the real brain power...2nd row. The most cerebral position on the field without a doubt. Congratulations Rob...take that Noe, Marquette sucks!

If i had pull at MCW admissions, i'd definitely have a bribery business going. Actually, maybe i do have some leverage? I recommend an anonymous fund for me in unmarked bills, just in case i do have that ability smilies/smiley.gif

2nd rows need all the brains they can get, trying to control the world beaters in the front row!

Good luck Rob!

Thanks for all of the support throughout the last few seasons. It has been a pleasure to play with you guys. My days for the quins as an active player might be drawing to a close, however we still have much to play for this upcoming spring. It would be great to do some damage in the playoffs, especially sticking it to milwaukee. Happy Holidays and Ill see you at the team meeting.
